On Wednesday afternoon, the official Instagram account of country icon George Strait asked his fans to sing along with one of his most famous songs.

The account posted a throwback video of a live performance of the country musician singing “All My Ex’s Live in Texas.” The old clip is presumably from the late ’80s, and features the country singer and his full band playing the 1987 single. The song released as the second single off his Ocean Front Property studio album. Additionally, “All My Ex’s Live in Texas” received a nomination for “Best Male Country Vocal Performance” at the 1988 Grammy Awards.

“Sing along to this #Throwback of “All My Ex’s Live in Texas”! 🤠” Strait’s Instagram account wrote.

We know you’ve heard the song, and likely at least know the chorus. But, here’s a refresher so you can join “The King of Country” and sing along to the classic hit.

All my ex’s live in Texas
And Texas is the place I’d dearly love to be
But all my ex’s live in Texas
And that’s why I hang my hat in Tennessee

Strait Might Be Starting a New Christmas Tradition

Yesterday, Strait referenced the popular holiday tradition of “Elf on the Shelf” and added a new cowboy-inspired twist.

In another post, the Instagram account shared a black and white photoshopped picture of the country singer. Yet, there was one glaring change to the photo. A tiny George Jones hilariously stood on top of Strait’s left shoulder. Someone obviously edited another black and white photo of the other country icon named George. They scaled Jones down to size like an “Elf on the Shelf” for the funny post.

After placing the mini George on Strait’s shoulder, the account amusingly asked “have you heard of George on George?”

“You’ve heard of #ElfOnTheShelf, but have you heard of #GeorgeOnGeorge?! 🤠 🎅 #GeorgeJones,” Strait’s account wrote on the post.
