It’s Friday! And, George Strait is reminding his fans that it’s time to go out and have some fun while “The Night Is Young.”
On his Twitter page, a photo of the King of Country was posted alongside lyrics from the upbeat, toe-tapping hit, “The Night Is Young.”
The photo shows a younger George Strait looking very sly and handsome standing behind a microphone with his guitar. It was shared on Friday (April 9). He was clearly having a good time when this photo was taken. And, it appears he wants his fans to go out and do the same.

Unsurprisingly, fans of George Strait were more than happy to share their love of the tweet and the singer via Twitter on Friday.
“Right remembering on how it was great it was for a Friday night or when the weekend was a upon us. We went to the movies, out to eat, or we went to the bar…. Even went fishing also. Nicely sung George Strait…” one fan shared.

This was the 28th studio album he had released during his career. “Love Is Everything” debuted on May 14, 2013, and was on the MCA Nashville label. The first single from the album was the song “Give It All We Got Tonight.” This song became a top-10 hit for the King of Country. In addition to George Strait, Tony Brown also served as a producer on this 2013 album.
Other songs on the album include the title track, “I Got a Car,” “I Just Can’t Go On Dying Like This,” “I Believe,” and “You Don’t Know What You’re Missing.”
According to Billboard, George Strait’s “Love Is Everything” album was at the top of Billboard’s country albums chart when it came out in 2013.
It was also at the second spot on the Billboard 200 chart at the time of its release. Interestingly, this tied Strait with Paul McCartney at the time as fourth on the list of top 10 albums by male artists. The top three individuals in this category were Frank Sinatra with 53, Elvis Presley with 27, and Bob Dylan with 20, according to Wikipedia.
“Love Is Everything” was also the 25 consecutive album by George Strait to hit No. 1 on the country chart. This was also a record.
