George Strait’s Clever Post Promotes His Song, “Let It Go”

Strait’s hashtag references his 2015 hit, “Let It Go.” Strait co-wrote the song with his son, Bubba Strait, and Keith Gattis. The song is the lead-off single from his 28th album, Cold Beer Conversation. “Let it Go” spent three weeks on the chart and peaked in the number nine spot. The song is an anthem for anyone who needs to take a deep breath and just let it all go.

During the song, Strait sings, “Let it go, sometimes you gotta let it go. Let it all wash on under the bridge, blow it a kiss. Give it a rest ’cause it is what it is.”

Strait says the song is about being happy with what you have. “It says a lot. I mean, all that stuff is all just stuff, and then you die,” Strait says with a laugh. “All that other stuff don’t mean a lot. You just can’t get too wrapped up in all your things, because it’s all just dust like the song says. And you can’t get enough, you know, so just be happy with what you have.”
