Twitter Reacts to George Strait Throwback

George Strait fans unite in the comments and carry on showing their love for the legend, too.

Additionally, one fan reacts to the signature Wrangler jeans that Strait wears.

I mean Wranglers are what real cowboys wear, and Strait is a real cowboy. As a matter of fact, he ropes and rides at his ranch in Texas. The jean brand didn’t spark the saying, “Wrangler butts drive me nuts,” from just any old pair of jeans.

Let’s Look at the Lyrics

The 1996 song is off the album “Blue Clear Sky” and is written by Steve Bogard and Jeff Stevens. Also, “Carried Away” was nominated for the 1997 ACM Award for Single Record of the Year, plus ACM Song of the Year, as well as Country Music Association Award for Single of the Year.

The lyrics start off with Strait saying he’s a grounded man and doesn’t party too hard. However, when he sees the woman of his dreams, his love takes him to a whole other level.

“I get carried away by the look by the light in your eyes. Before I even realize the ride I’m on, Baby I’m long gone… nothin’ matters but bein’ with you. Like a feather flyin’ high up in the sky on a windy day, ” the chorus reads.

Additionally, this classic song continues to play for the first dance at weddings. The words might be simple, but it’s for sure the meaning behind them that pack a punch. Furthermore, the lyrics depict what everyone wants to hear from their lovers.
