Fans are always quick to point out certain contexts. When Miranda Lambert took home her first big win, that’s exactly what happened.

The “Bluebird” singer had a big night. She performed “Bluebird” but also racked up three nominations before the ceremony even properly started. Fairly early in the evening, she already had her first win for Best Country Album. “Wildcard” was a deserving winner, and she was deservedly showered with praise on social media afterward.

However, many were also quick to bring it back to Miranda Lambert and her relationship with Blake Shelton.

The two country stars got married in 2011 after a year of dating, but unfortunately divorced in 2015. It didn’t work out, and that happens. But as anyone who’s been on the internet knows, sleeping dogs don’t get to lie.

Miranda Lambert Fans Come After Blake Shelton

Fans of Lambert took to Twitter to highlight her win, especially highlighting Blake Shelton does not have a Grammy win.

“Miranda Lambert 100% deserves any Grammy,” @James_Boss17 starts. “solely because she used to be married to Blake Shelton and that man is the Worst. She really won by leaving him”

Whoof.

“can I just say good for miranda lambert and f–k blake shelton forever” @KATHRYN28540558 says.

One viewer brought up a random anecdote of when their breakup first went down. @what_we_owe couldn’t help but chime in.

“Random memory: I went to my sorority’s national convention in 2015, and there was extended discussion on the Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton divorce during official events”

It’s tough for us at Outsider. We enjoy Blake Shelton’s music and his work on The Voice. We also love Miranda Lambert’s incredible talent and fierce attitude. Why do we have to choose?

The answer is that you don’t, but that won’t stop others from doing so. Like any big night in entertainment, the stars are out, and so are the opinions.
