Miranda Lambert poses for a photo with her fellow Grammy Award nominees. She says a win for her is a win for her “family.”
Last night was big for Miranda Lambert. Not only was she able to perform for one of the first times since quarantine started last year, but she also took home a Grammy for Album of the Year for Wildcard. However, Miranda wasn’t just celebrating herself when she accepted the award. During an interview, she said that her win was a win for her entire musical family.
“This record, I needed it in my life at the time that we made it,” said Lambert. “It obviously feels amazing to celebrate that. But I love all the people in that category with me, and we’re family so I feel like I’m bringing it home for all of us.”
To celebrate, Miranda posed for a picture with her fellow nominees, Brandy Clark and Ingrid Andress. Along with a photo of the three nominees, Clark wrote, “Congratulations to @mirandalambert and all of the other artists who were nominated tonight. I am honored to be nominated this year.”
Miranda Lambert Was Happy To ‘Bring The Girls Out’ With Ceremony Dress
After a year in quarantine, it feels good to get dressed up. And that’s exactly what Miranda Lambert did for her red carpet look at the Grammy Awards last night. For the ceremony, she wore a beautiful metallic dress with a plunging neckline. When you look closely at the dress, you can see that it’s covered in music notes. During an interview, Miranda described her stunning look.
“I thought it was appropriate, and I got to bring the girls out. It’s been a while, we’ve been in quarantine,” said Lambert.
But her red carpet look wasn’t the only thing that stunned audiences. Her performance of “Bluebird” during the ceremony blew everyone away. Miranda Lambert stood in the center of the stage in a small patch of colorful flowers as she began singing. She wore a dark blue sequin mini dress with side slit mesh inserts. As she sang, fog filled the stage giving an ethereal feel. Above Miranda hung hundreds of colorful flowers. It looked like a real bluebird could have flown above her at any moment. Her performance was flawless, which only reaffirmed that Miranda Lambert’s Grammy Award was much deserved.
During a post-awards interview, Miranda revealed her after party plans.
“It’s low-key out here — my manager, my husband, and my tour manager and I are gonna go probably eat something bad for us to eat and have a couple of cocktails,” said Miranda.
A Grammy Award, followed by delicious food with your favorite people? That sounds like a perfect night.
