We know how Gwen Stefani and fiance Blake Shelton will be spending their Thanksgiving weekend: on the couch.

Earlier on Thursday Stefani posted on Twitter that she couldn’t wait to binge the new Netflix series, “Country Ever After.” The reality TV show follows Coffey Anderson, an independent country music artist, and his wife, Criscilla, a talented hip-hop dancer. The show gives viewers a look into their world as they navigate their careers and raise three children all while balancing two very different backgrounds.

“Country Ever After” Is A Similar Story to Gwen & Blake’s

Coffey Anderson is originally from Bangs, Texas, and moved to Los Angles to pursue his music career. Without a doubt, it’s similar to Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s love story, the show revolves around a country boy and a city girl.

In addition to Stefani, Shelton commented on the show as well. On Nov. 24 he tweeted out, “Y’all need to watch #CountryEverAfter on Netflix. Loving this show about a country boy and a city girl. Check it out now!”

Since the show’s premiere, viewers are excited, saying that a show like “Country Ever After” couldn’t come at a more perfect time.

In an interview, Coffey Anderson commented saying, “With COVID, the election, protests, and the financial situations people are dealing with,” he says, “it’s been the perfect storm for something like this, that’s family-friendly and uplifting.”

“I think what makes our family special,” Criscilla explains in Episode One, “is that we’re completely different people. He’s a black country singer, I’m a white hip hop dancer. He’s from a small town of 1100 people, and I’m from Las Vegas.”

In episode 1, the show begins when Coffey and Criscilla celebrate 10 years of marriage. In addition, together they have three children, Ethan (7), Emmarie (5), and Everleigh Rose (2).

“Country Ever After” is available to stream on Netflix. You can check out the trailer below.
