Gwen Stefani’s Blake Shelton Throwback Celebrates Engagement Date

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been open about their love story since the very beginning. Love at first sight, dare I add?

Gwen Stefani is still in awe and is very much in love. The two very much so share their love publicly every moment that they can get. Their on-screen flirting on NBC’s The Voice is always uncanny and it remains strong that they truly love one another. She reflects on the weekend that Shelton asked her to marry him with a few previously unreleased pictures and videos from the day. One photo shows Shelton holding Stefani as she cradles her face. Another photo shows off the “Don’t Speak” singer’s engagement ring.

Sunday morning, Stefani took to her Instagram to share the memory of her engagement with her husband, country music star Blake Shelton. She writes, “one year ago today?! October 17th, 2020. @blakeshelton I love you! gx #how? #backtothefuture #slowdown.” It’s been a year since their engagement.

The couple married on July 3rd, 2021 on Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch. They began dating in November of 2015 after the pair met while filming NBC’s The Voice together. Stefani also shared the moment that she said yes to the dress. She writes, “The moment I said yes to the dress.”

Gwen and Blake’s Love Story

Earlier this month, Shelton opened up to Seth Myers on the “Late Night With Seth Myers” on October 6th about the wedding song that he wrote for Gwen called “We Can Reach The Stars.” Shelton delivered his wedding vows the way he does things best: singing.

The country star wrote a song to be performed on his wedding day and delves into the nerves he was feeling that day. He confesses, “Gwen is always, constantly on my ass about, I should be writing more songs, ‘How come you don’t write more songs. So I decided I’ll step up and come up with something, so I did. “I’m excited for people to hear it. A lot of people have asked me about it since they found out I did that. We’re excited about it. We want people to hear it. I married Gwen Stefani! I want everybody to hear that.”

“We Can Reach The Stars,” co-written with Craig Wiseman, is set to be released on the deluxe version of his latest record “Body Language” on December 3rd. The album hosts “Happy Anywhere” and “Minimum Wage,” and has four new songs. “Body Language (Deluxe)” includes Shelton’s most recent single “Come Back As A Country Boy,” “Throw It On Back” featuring Brooks & Dunn, “Fire Up The Night” featuring Hardy, and of course, his wedding song “We Can Reach The Stars.”
