How Shelton Celebrated His Birthday Last Year
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Blake Shelton enjoyed his 44th birthday in 2020 by celebrating with a giant tractor cake. Notably gifted to him by Smithworks Vodka, the cake was shaped like a piece of Farmall equipment and had miniature figurines of Blake and Gwen on top.
Shelton excitingly shared, “Damn y’all! Thanks for all the birthday love and wishes. And thank you @smithworksvodka for keeping the party going… Cheers y’all!”
Blake Shelton’s Upcoming Wedding to Gwen Stefani
Blake Shelton has more to celebrate than just turning 45. The country singer is reportedly set to get married to Gwen “sometime this summer.” Although the couple has remained super quiet about the details of the event, a source confirms with People, “Ever since they got engaged, they have both been adamant that no wedding will [happening] until its safe for family and friends to attend.”
The insider also says that Gwen’s sons, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo are very involved in the wedding plans. “Gwen’s sons are just really solid, sweet kids, and they’re so excited for Blake [Shelton] and Gwen to get married. They can’t wait to stand by their sides.”
Blake Shelton recently joked about the wedding and what the event would look like if he was planning it. “If I was picking our meal, it would just literally be everything fried. French fries, chicken tenders, you know, all that stuff,” He shares. “I think [Gwen] knows that it would be a pretty classless wedding if I was in control.”
Shelton then adds, “I want her to do all of that stuff and handle it because it’s going to be great. She’s in the middle of planning the thing, and she’s always so mindful of me.”
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani announced their engagement on Instagram in October 2020. Gwen was previously married to Gavin Rossdale from 2002 to 2016 while Blake was married to fellow country singer Miranda Lambert from 2011 to 2015.
