Keith Urban turns 53-years-old today. The country music star was born on October 26, 1967. The New Zealand born singer caught the country music world by storm with his self titled album in the early 2000s. In the years since Urban has been a force in the country music industry and even shared his musical expertise on American Idol.
Urban has had many popular songs over the years, but “You’ll Think Of Me” may be one of his most endearing. The song went No. 1 on Billboard’s country chart and also earned Urban his first Grammy. The album featured on Urban’s second studio album Golden Road. The song chronicled a break up in a relationship. It even inspired future artists like Taylor Swift, who listened to the song at 12.
“I remember sitting in my bedroom, listening to ‘You’ll Think of Me’ and thinking: ‘How does he know what I’m going through better than I do? This song is my life,’ ” Swift told the New York Times. “I was 12 at the time. And I know somewhere there was a 35-year-old woman going through a divorce, listening to that same song, saying the same thing.”
