Happy Birthday Vince Gill: Enjoy All 22 of His Grammy-Winning Performances in One Spot

by Jim Casey

Vince Gill is celebrating his 64th birthday today. In honor of his big day, we’re sharing all 22 of Vince’s Grammy wins. That’s not a typo: 22.

Since his birth on April 12, 1957, in Norman, Oklahoma, Vince has averaged a Grammy win every 2.9 years of his life. Most people don’t average any award every 2.9 years, let alone a Grammy.

The case can be made that Vince Gill is the greatest total package in the history of country music. He’s a musician, singer, songwriter and producer. Yes, that’s a big statement. Sure, that’s debatable. In other words, that’s an article for another time.

Today, we’re celebrating Vince for his Grammy dominance. Certainly, 22 wins represent the most for a solo male country artist. Moreover, Vince’s 22 wins put him in the Top 10 on the All-Time List with the likes of Stevie Wonder (22), Alison Krauss (27), and Beyoncé (28).
