What Makes This Jason Aldean Release Extra Special

The release of ‘Macon, Georgia’ marks Jason Aldean’s 10th studio release. Being a performer for so much of his life, the time Aldean spent working on this album was the first time in years he was not on the road while writing. Aldean certainly took advantage of his newfound free time and put his all into this album. The record seems to be both a culmination and homage to Aldean’s career thus far. Honoring what got him to where he is now in his career, fans get to enjoy never-heard-before tweets.

In a recent press release, Aldean explains, “We’ve always tried to lean toward more songs than less…and this album is no different. We decided to pepper in some of the live tracks we’ve had stockpiled for a while. After nine albums and 16 years of recording, I hope people can tell I wanted to make this tenth album fun and different from anything we’ve done before”.

A Man of Many Passions

On top of working on his latest release, Aldean keeps busy with his other projects as well. The singer recently launched his own bourbon with Florida Georgia Line. The 80 proof liquor goes by the name Wolf Moon Bourbon, and is “distilled from Midwestern grains and aged for four years offering a finish of caramel, oak and spice.” On the release of the liquor earlier this year, Aldean says his touring routine played a part in the inspiration for the beverage. Aldean says, “ There’s nothing like sharing a glass of whiskey with my crew after a show—you could say it’s been part of our ritual for years.”
