Caribbean rock n’ roller Jimmy Buffett shares a throwback photo of himself and his band in the recording studio.

Parrotheads rejoiced as Buffett invited fans behind the scenes in his most recent throwback photo post on Twitter.

Buffett shared a photo of himself with his band in a recording studio. Along with the photo, Buffett writes “Whoa, lookin’ back at my background. Tryin’ to figure out how I ever got here. Some things are still a mystery to me. While others are much too clear.”

Jimmy Buffett Quotes Perfect Throwback Song ‘Migration’

In the post, Buffett quotes lyrics from his song, Migration. The song is about looking back on the past, thinking about the present, and wondering about the future. That’s a pretty perfect theme song for a throwback photo. During the song, Buffett sings “Yeah, and that’s why it’s still a mystery to me why some people live like they do. So many nice things happenin’ out there, they never even seen the clues. Whoa but we’re doin’ fine, we can travel and rhyme. I know we been doin’ our part. Got a Caribbean soul I can barely control and some Texas hidden here in my heart.”

Jimmy Buffett’s “Migration”

The song is a track from Buffett’s 1975 album, A1A. The album spent 27 weeks on the chart peaking in the 25th spot. The album quickly solidified Buffett’s place as a paradise performer. Since then, Buffett has created a lifestyle that both reflects and contradicts the laid-back vibes he portrays in the songs. On one hand, his fame and success have allowed him to enjoy a luxurious lifestyle. He even has homes in cities including Palm Beach, St. Barts, Sag Harbor, Los Angeles, Waikiki, and New York. However, he hasn’t gotten to the place he is today by simply laying on the beach. Over the course of his career, Buffett has released 29 studio albums, received two Grammy nominations, acted in movies, and, most recently, wrote songs for his Broadway musical, Escape to Margaritaville. With that amount of work, he’s certainly earned an ice-cold margarita on a beach somewhere.
