There are very few moments in which you won’t see Jon Pardi in a cowboy hat, and his wedding is not one of them. Yesterday, at Saddle Woods Farms in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Pardi married his fiance, Summer Duncan. The couple postponed their original plans due to COVID-19 but felt grateful for the opportunity either way.

“There’s never a right time in 2020 to get married, so after all the planning and replanning we’re happy we got to do it,” the couple told People Magazine.

“Best day of my life,” Summer Duncan shared in her recent instagram post.

Originally, the couple planned to marry in Montana over memorial weekend, renting out an entire ski lodge for three days. Due to the pandemic, The couple had to postpone, replan, and significantly downsize their wedding. That didn’t dull their spirit, however, as they made the best of the unfortunate circumstances.

“We had a friend who was married at Saddle Woods last year. When we walked into their wedding, Jon was like, ‘This is the most amazing wedding and venue ever,'” Summer Duncan told People Magazine. “So when we had to cancel our destination wedding, they were naturally the first venue we called when we knew we had to keep things closer to home.”

The couple still plans to celebrate their wedding in full volume next year. Much of Jon Pardi’s family lives in California, which excluded them from the tight-knit ceremony. The couple kept the ceremony to immediate family and close friends in town but will expand the celebration to everyone once restrictions lift.
