Kacey Musgraves gave us a cheeky look into her tropical vacation when the country music singer posted several snaps to her Twitter account. On Saturday, the “Slow Burn” singer wowed fans when she revealed the stunning pics that showed off her curves.

It’s a good thing Musgraves is taking some well-deserved downtime. So far, 2021 has been quite an eventful year for the 32-year-old. She recently appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. In the accompanying interview, the Texas native opened up about her self-care routine, the new music she’s been writing during the pandemic, and recovering from her divorce last year from fellow singer-songwriter Ruston Kelly.

After a long road of reflection, Musgraves is ready to record new music for her dedicated fans. Her next album, the successor to her critically acclaimed 2018 Golden Hour, is set to be released sometime this year.

According to her interview, as of January, Musgraves had written 39 songs for the record with the support of songwriters and producers Ian Fitchuk and Daniel Tashian, who also worked on Golden Hour.

“This last chapter of my life and this whole last year and chapter for our country — at its most simple form, it’s a tragedy,” she said in the interview. “And then I started looking into why portraying a tragedy is actually therapeutic and why it is a form of art that has lasted for centuries. It’s because you set the scene, the audience rises to the climax of the problem with you, and then there’s resolve. There’s a feeling of resolution at the end. I was inspired by that.”

However, it will be a long road if Kacey Musgraves wants to match the success of Golden Hour. The record was named one of the best albums of the 2010s by critics. In 2019, it proved to be a critical success when Musgraves took the Grammy for “Album of the Year.”

“I can’t help but to write about what I’m going through,” Musgraves says in the story. “And I want to honor the huge range of emotion that I’ve felt over this past year, past six months. I also want to honor the relationship we had and the love we have for each other. Because it’s very real.”
