Kane Brown’s summer has certainly seen some highs and lows. At the start of this month, Twitter railed on him for his boring appearance as part of the new College Gameday Crew. So, that was undeniably a low for the star. However, he probably came out of the process unscathed, still riding a high from the 2021 CMT Awards.
Here, Kane Brown received the honorary title of Best Male Video of the Year for his “Worship You” track. Brown added the award to another major win for Collaborative Video of the Year, after partnering with Chris Young for “Famous Friends.”
Still on the upswing, the star now welcomes another elite title: one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People of 2021.
Kane Brown Says He Feels Honored
What has Kane Brown been up to, anyway? Besides the whole College Gameday thing… Well, actually, the star finds himself gearing up for the “Blessed and Free” tour. Kicking off in Kansas City tomorrow night, the tour stops through a good chunk of the US before finishing up in Vegas on February 6th of next year. With all the chaos going on behind the scenes, he still finds time to check in with fans on social media.
Brown took to Twitter to make a short and sweet statement after the Time’s list was revealed. He says the title of one of 2021’s Most Influential People comes as a great honor. Fans are flocking to the comments to show their support as well. Kane’s fanbase seems to span a really wide variety of people, including young and old, near and far.
Twitter user @Real_Legend2 for example, found out about Kane through his younger daughters. He wrote:
“Congratulations! This is awesome. I’m in my 60’s and a month ago I had no idea who you were. Then I saw you on NYC CP Concert. Raved to my 20-year-old daughters who told me to get with it! Told me songs to download & I’ve been listening ever since, & you’re everywhere! Very [cool]!”
You can check out his tweet here:
TIME will celebrate the annual list in an hour-long primetime broadcast special on ABC, airing Sept. 20, at 10 PM ET, featuring a special mention of every honoree, including Kane Brown, on the list. The TIME100 issue will hit newsstands in print on Friday, Sept. 17.
