On Friday, country music star Kane Brown released a new music video for his single “Worship You,” which is dedicated to his wife and daughter. And the singer appropriately enlisted his wife and young daughter to join him for the new video.
Brown’s wife, Katelyn, and daughter, Kingsley, joined the musician in Wyoming for the “Worship You” shoot. Director Alex Alvga captures picturesque Wyoming landscapes while also displaying the love the young family shares for one another.
This is the second time Brown has highlighted Kingsley in one of his music videos. She made a short appearance in the music video from her dad’s song “Worldwide Beautiful.”
Additionally, in August, Brown opened up to his fans in a Facebook Live chat. During the chat, Brown told fans he hoped to feature his wife and daughter in the upcoming “Worship You” video. Fast forward to late October and Brown followed through with his idea to feature his family in the video.
Kane Brown Talks About Including His Family in ‘Worship You’ Video
Kane Brown recently opened up about how important his family is to his music. In addition, he says his family is always a “main focus” in his music whether they realize it or not.
“I mean, my music is, you know, surrounded by my family. They’re my world, especially Kinglsey. When she smiles, she brightens up the whole house,” he said. “So ‘Worship You,’ I definitely want to get both of them in the music video. When I hear that song, it reminds me of both of them. I’m just grateful that they’re part of my project. Even if they don’t know that they are, they are. They’re like the main focus.”
Brown spoke to Country Now about “Worship You” and the significance of the song when he first released the single. The country singer compared the new song to one of his early singles, and said he felt like “Worship You” would be a popular wedding song in the near future.
“‘Worship You’ is basically ‘Heaven’ 2.0,” Brown said about his early hit single. “It’s saying that your girl, your wife, is your everything. You know that she don’t walk on water or anything like that, but you basically praise her. Originally it was thinking about Kate you know, but then I did this video that I put on my Instagram, it was me, Kate and Kingsley and I was singing it to Kingsley. So I was like, you know, this song could be about my daughter. It’s basically just worshiping my family now, they’re both my girls and I’d do anything for them. Worship the ground they walk on. I feel like it’s going to be a wedding song, and everybody has been asking for it so I’m just excited I get to release it.”
The new video for “Worship You” was released one day before Kingsley’s first birthday. Brown shared his excitement for the occasion in an Instagram post that included a candid photo of Kingsley.
“I have a 1-year-old wtf lol this year went way to fast as slow!!” Brown wrote in the post. “Happy birthday angel. my big girl!”
“Worship You” is featured on Brown’s EP, Mixtape Vol. 1, that released in August.
