What Keith Urban Had to Say

The “Blue Ain’t Your Color” singer shared the big announcement on Thursday (December 10). Urban announced that he and his collaborator will be performing their duet, “One Too Many.” The duo will take the stage on the singing competition show’s finale on Tuesday (December 15).

Prior to the main show, a “cutdown” of the live performance will air at 8 PM ET as a one-hour episode. The second part of the finale will air with the winner of The Voice Season 19 being announced. Urban and Pink will be performing during the second block.

Other performers during the finale include: Dan + Shay, Lauren Daigle, Lewis Capaldi, Florida Georgia Line, Nelly, Jason Derulo, 24KGoldn, Iann Dior, Julia Michaels, and JP Saxe. Coaches Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani will also be performing a duet.

Keith on Pink

Believe it or not, Pink has been a part of country music for several years. She dueted with Kenny Chesney on “Setting The World On Fire.” She also worked with Chris Stapleton on “Love Me Anyway,” off of Pink’s album, Hurts 2B Human. She even formed a folk/country duo, You+Me with Dallas Green.

Urban has always been a fan of the genre-bending powerhouse vocalist. “I’ve always loved Pink’s voice,” Urban admitted. “But her artistry and her multi-faceted ability to create, and her God-given talent, truly makes her one of the greatest voices of our time.”

When choosing a collaborator, Urban looks for a “third thing.” “There’s what I do, there’s what my collaborator does and then there’s this ‘third thing’ that I’m most curious about,” he explained. “That’s what interests me the most – when the sum of the parts becomes even more than what I envisioned.  That’s what I love so much about it – finding common ground, shaping it, and bringing it together.”
