Country music star Keith Urban released a new song earlier today, titled “Speeding Ticket.” The song is part of his new album “The Speed of Now.”
Urban announced the release date yesterday in an Instagram post.
“Buckle up and listen to SPEEDING TICKET, out now. http://strm.lnk.to/KUSpeedingTicketTAC,” Urban wrote on Twitter.
Yesterday, Urban hinted at the release to his followers on Instagram.
“Music and cars go hand in hand, and driving has always been a huge form of inspiration for me,” Urban said in his post. “I put together a selection of songs from THE SPEED OF NOW that will really let you put the pedal to the metal. SPEEDING TICKET, available 11.18.”

Urban talked about some of his life’s greatest accomplishments in an interview with KFDI 101.3 during their “Country Music Minute” segment.
Marrying Nicole Kidman and getting sober are the two things he considers to be at the top of his list.
“Marrying my wife and getting sober, for me personally, were two of the biggest accomplishments of my life. That and having children,” Urban says.
Furthermore, the New Zealand-born singer says it was his dream to live in America, make records, and tour.
“It’s a life dream I’ve had since I was seven years old. All I wanted to do was live in America, make records, tour, and maybe get my songs on the radio,” he says to the radio show host. “So to have been able to have done that, and to still be able to do it, I’m speechless about it, quite frankly.”
In addition, he says that his new album has been connecting with fans.
“It’s surreal to see how this album, ‘The Speed of Now’ has connected with everybody,” he says. “I’ve been making music for a long time but I’ve never had the reaction like I had with this particular one. The only bittersweetness of it is that I can’t get out and tour right now.”

Urban Recently Had a Birthday
The 53-year-old musician recently celebrated his birthday on October 26th. Urban was born in Whangarei, North Island, New Zealand. But he spent his years growing up in Australia. Urban loved music from an early age and especially had an affinity for country music. It was a passion his parents shared with Urban.
In addition to rising to stardom thanks to his first self-titled album, Urban has had many popular songs over the years. His song “You’ll Think Of Me” may be one of his most endearing. The song went No. 1 on Billboard’s country chart and also earned Urban his first Grammy. The song chronicled a break up in a relationship. It even inspired future artists like Taylor Swift, who listened to the song at 12.
