Kelsea Ballerini felt the need to query her Twitter peeps.

Is she the only person to have “one deep and meaningful conversation” with her dog every day?

Or, she asked, “is that just a me thing.”

Nope, it’s not just a Ballerini thing. But trust us, we’d all adore sharing our deepest thoughts with Dibs the Dog.

Who is Dibs? And Why Did Kelsea Ballerini Adopt Him?

Who is Dibs? He’s a large, blond, bundle of fur and love. Ballerini adopted Dibs – he’s a mixed breed – in 2015 and named him after the second song she ever released. She was feeling homesick and thought a dog would help.

He became Instagram official in August, 2015.

Dibs definitely is Ballerini’s baby. They’re mostly inseparable. He’s with her on her tour bus. They hang out backstage in her dressing room.

She gives him birthday parties. Ballerini asked for prayers when Dibs was suffering from a severe infection.

On Saturday, gave her own touch to the “Choose Your Player” meme game. As her hit song “There’s a Hole in the Bottle” played, Ballerini made multiple outfit changes.

She finally ended in a bathrobe and slippers. Her hair was pulled back in a messy pony tail. She twirled with her tall glass of red wine and called for Dibs. It was a perfect Saturday.

She and Dibs even received an endorsement deal earlier this year. Pedigree dog food filmed a commercial with the two of them in it. And the commercial was featured at the CMT Awards.

She said, “Dogs kind of make home where ever you are. He’s always makes me feel like home.”

Ballerini then described what she does back stage before any concert. She glitters up and has a dance party to shake the nerves. Then she looks into Dibs’ eyes and thinks “even if I fall on my face he’s still going to like me.”
