Kelsea Ballerini Reveals ‘Biggest Silver Lining’ of 2020

While most people can’t wait to put 2020 behind them, Kelsea Ballerini has found a heartwarming silver lining. The Tennessee native and country music star shared a special message to her husband on their third anniversary.

“@morganevansmusic and I are celebrating our three year anniversary today,” the singer wrote on her Instagram stories. “The biggest silver lining of this year was all of the extra time together. I’m grateful for the realness it’s brought us and the new level of comfort we have because of it all.”

She concluded the post with a sweet and simple, “Love you Morgs, so much.”

For Ballerini, 2020 has been a standout year for the singer. In the spring, she released a self-titled album, Kelsea. Before that, she released the hit single “Hole in the Bottle.” She later released a remix of the song with one of her biggest musical influences, Shania Twain. Six months after the release of Kelsea, she dropped her fourth studio album, Ballerini.

Morgan Evan’s Unconditional Support for Kelsea Ballerini

Her husband, Australian country musician Morgan Evanshas supported her through it all. He’s even performed with her onstage for several occasions.

In March of 2016, Ballerini and Evans first met in Evan’s native country, Australia. After co-hosting Australia’s Country Music Channel Awards, the two decided to celebrate together at the after-party. Their fairy tale began that night.

“He was like, ‘Let’s take a shot,’” she told People in 2017. “I remember taking that shot and putting it down and looking at him like, ‘Oh … he’s super-hot.’ Later that night he leaned over and asked if he could kiss me, like a proper gentleman. And I said yes.”

Evans proposed to Ballerini on Christmas of 2016. In December of 2017, Kelsea and Morgan walked down the aisle together in an intimate oceanside ceremony in Mexico. They also exchanged vows in front of family and friends, followed by their first dance to Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years.”
