While on the Bobby Bones Show, Kelsea Ballerini discussed her relationship with her social media accounts. She recently decided to disable comments on her Instagram account where she shares updates of her life almost daily.
On a recent video she shared of her playing on the Kelly Clarkson Show, however, she turned her comments back on. Bobby Bones asked her what drove her to take the comments off in the first place.
“I’m super sensitive and I think that’s a good thing,” Kelsea Ballerini told Bobby Bones on the show. “I think for a long time I was reading all the comments and I would obviously love the good ones, but I would find the bad ones and then they would just hurt my feelings.”
She went on to talk about how she knows that she is an “over-sharer,” particularly on social media. However, Kelsea Ballerini loves that about herself. She finds it very important to express herself freely on social media and to let people know how she feels about things. Her Instagram account has over 2 million followers, so you can imagine how many comments some of her posts would get.
“I didn’t want to get to a point where I was not posting and not sharing my life, because I really like to be that kind of person who’s an over-sharer. I think it’s relatable and girls need to see that. So yeah, it was either me not sharing, or me sharing and not caring what people say. So I just turned them off for a while.”
Kelsea Ballerini Leads By Example
Kelsea Ballerini has been a role model for young girls through her music and social media personality. She has consistently put out relatable music for young women all across the country. She also leads by example, consistently speaking her mind about issues in the country music world.
Her Instagram account is her biggest platform to voice these opinions as it has over two million followers. By disabling the comments, she doesn’t allow people’s negativity to bring her down.
