Kelsea Ballerini Shares New Years ‘Reset’ Photo With Husband

by Suzanne Halliburton

Kelsea Ballerini is hitting the reset button in the majestic Smokey Mountains.

On Monday, she posted a photo of her and her husband, Morgan Evans, on her Instagram account. The two are smiling with the mountains and a glorious sunset in the background. The December, the couple celebrated their third anniversary.

All Ballerini said was “reset.”

Kelsea Ballerini And Husband Cap Off Busy December

It was such a busy month for Ballerini and her husband. The two moved out of their apartment in downtown Nashville to a home in the suburbs. That’s a lot to handle and unpack, especially during the holiday season and in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We have been in an apartment since we got married,” Ballerini told People magazine. “It’s a big pain to go from downtown Nashville to the ‘burbs, but it’s so good for us, especially this year, just to have a little more space, to not hear the interstate and not hear the bachelorette parties. It’s been good for us to start settling in.”

Ballerini added: “Honestly, (the move is) just giving us a little bit of purpose. I’ve obviously not had a lot of things to do this year other than make records, so I have needed to put my time and creativity into something, and getting this house together has definitely been a good outlet for me.”

If December wasn’t busy enough with the unpacking and decorating, Ballerini also was one of the headliners for the Verizon Up virtual concert. The concert was a perk for users in Verizon’s customer loyalty program. Ballerini performed the songs from her pandemic project album. She called it “Ballerini.” The songs were all off her third album, “Kelsea,” but she reimagined them.

December Highlight Probably Was Holiday Performance at Grand Ole Opry

She capped off December with a pre-Christmas performance at the Grand Ole Opry.

On Dec. 19, Ballerini joined both Lauren Alaina and Lady A for the Christmas concert. She posted photos of herself backstage. And in her Instagram story, Ballerini wrote: “Playing music is my favorite thing in the world. And it felt like such a gift to be able to safely tonight. Thank you as always for having me home.”

The Grand Ole Opry is a revered place for Ballerini. She’s the youngest member having been inducted in April, 2019. Little Big Town nominated her. Carrie Underwood inducted Ballerini during the official ceremony.

But before Ballerini can kick off any big project in 2021, she needed a vacation and a reset. Sounds blissful.
