Country music star Kenny Chesney and Sirius XM Radio recently announced that listening to “No Shoes Radio” will be free during the rest of November.

No Shoes Radio features never released recordings from Kenny’s personal archives, music from his favorite artists, live performances, acoustic moments, drop-ins from fans, friends, and celebrities, as well as plenty of Chesney’s biggest hits and favorite album tracks.

Chesney posted the exciting news to his 2.7 million Twitter followers on Tuesday afternoon.

“Listen to @noshoesradio on the @SIRIUSXM app for free now thru Dec 1. http://siriusxm.com/ChesneyFL,” Chesney wrote on Twitter.

History Behind Kenny Chesney and ‘No Shoes Radio’

The country star began No Shoes Radio in 2008. It was featured on iHeart Radio and heard on the HD-2 channels of iHeart Media’s WSIX Nashville and KNIX Phoenix.

However, Chesney, the man The Wall Street Journal called “The King of the Road,” announced in 2016 that he was bringing his radio channel exclusively to SiriusXM Radio.

The move returned No Shoes to where it was created as one of the then-XM Satellite Radio’s many pop-up channels. At the time, it was joining more than a dozen artist-focused channels ranging from Bruce Springsteen to Tiesto to Eminem.

“We’ve spent eight years building No Shoes Radio. It’s always been a place where I could share songs I love, musicians I find, things on my computer nobody’s ever heard – and blur the lines between my records and everything from reggae to rock to bluegrass,” Chesney says in an excerpt on his website. “To partner with SiriusXM as part of their Artist Driven platform of stations means No Shoes Radio will be able to reach even more people who love songs and music the same way I do. That’s awesome.”

Chesney Kicks Off New Podcast on ‘No Shoes Radio’

Kenny Chesney kicked off his ‘Poets & Pirates DJ Sessions’ earlier this month on his SiriusXM channel. The show is set to consist of a variety of Chesney’s friends. That includes musicians, writers, actors, athletes and more. As a result, the country music star will have ample opportunity to delve into a wide range of entertainment.

“Everybody wants to be the deejay,” says Chesney in regards to his new SiriusXM show. “I figured I can let my friends come over and play. Let them share the songs that are meaningful and stories from their lives. I view ‘No Shoes Nation’ as the world’s biggest group of friends, and I like to think everyone knows everybody else – at least in spirit. So, when we decided to do this, I figured: ‘What a great way to get to know some of my best friends a whole lot better.'”

Iconic football stars and siblings, Eli and Peyton Manning, appeared on the first episode. The three took a walk down memory lane together.
