Kevin Bacon Wishes Grand Ole Opry a Happy 95th Birthday in New Video

Kevin Bacon, an alum of the Grand Ole Opry stage, is wishing the premiere country music venue a happy 95th birthday in a new video.

If you’re visiting us here at Outsider.com, chances are you’re familiar with Bacon’s band. The Hollywood star is also a singer/songwriter, and has a country band called The Bacon Brothers with his – you guessed it – brother, Michael.

According to their band’s official website, “Kevin and Michael Bacon are only one degree removed from each other. And not even that when it comes to making music.

Music as been part of the Bacon Brothers’ lives since childhood. [And] as an actual band since a 1995 show in their home town of Philadelphia. It’s a respite from their day jobs — Kevin’s as an actor, Michael’s as a composer [in] New York. The duo has released eight studio albums.”

Kevin Bacon & brother Michael wish Grand Ole Opry a happy 95th

Having sang on the famous stage multiple times, Bacon sends a heartfelt “Happy Birthday” video. The Grand Ole Opry is sharing the clip today as part of their own birthday celebration. His brother and bandmate, Michael, joins in to complete the Bacon Brother duo’s wishes.

“Hey it’s Kevin Bacon of the Bacon Brothers,” the star starts off. “And we want to wish the Grand Ole Opry a very special…”

His brother Michael cuts into the video to add it’s the Opry’s “95th birthday”, joking he’s “right behind them” in age.
