Kid Rock is likening himself to one particular up and coming artist. They share the same rebel attitude, they both sing about the same things, and they even kind of look alike… kind of.
Kid Rock is sharing his support for Tim Montana on his Instagram account. The Detroit Cowboy writes, “My buddy Tim Montana’s new music and videos are out today! I think you all will dig em, I sure do. He reminds me a lot of myself when i was younger with his talent and work ethic, and he knows how to have a good time! Check em out if you’re looking for some new good jams to get down to!”
He signs the message, “Kid Rock,” to let his fans know it’s him and not someone that runs his social media account. Additionally, the 49-year-old musician adds a link to Montana’s song “Do It Fast.”
The music video’s filled with tricks and stunts that match the lyrics. Part of the chorus reads, “The key to hard living is to do it fast.”
Motorsport legend and stunt performer Travis Pastrana even makes a cameo appearance in the video. Additionally, some of the scenes take place in “Pastranaland”.
Kid Rock and Tim Montana’s Relationship
“The American Badass” singer and Tim Montana met and immediately felt a rebel connection. After Montana made his way to Nashville, Kid Rock enlisted him as one of his opening acts.
The pair even co-wrote two charting singles for Rock’s Sweet Southern Sugar album: the Top 10 country hit “Tennessee Mountain Top” and the Number 16 rock anthem “Greatest Show on Earth.”
“We have a lot in common,” Montana says of his relationship with Rock. “The way we write songs is very similar, our performance style is full-throttle and we instantly hit it off,” he writes on the BBR Group website.
