Lady A Reveals What 2020 Has ‘Shown Us’ in Thanksgiving Day Post

Lady A, formerly known as Lady Antebellum, along with the majority of other individuals, are finding more to be grateful for on this Thanksgiving than any year previous.

Lady A Shares a Tweet to Their Fans

The group took to Twitter to express their feelings on this day, saying: “Happy Thanksgiving! It’s been a different kind of year to say the least, but it’s shown us that we truly have so much to be thankful for and not take a single day for granted. Wishing you and your families all the best the rest of this year.”

COVID-19 Affects the Group’s CMA Awards Attendance

Lady A knows all too well the many reasons to give thanks and not take anything for granted following a year like no other.

The group consists of Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood. The country music artists were planning to attend the 2020 CMA Awards taking place at the beginning of November.

However, everything changed a mere hour before the awards show took place. They announced they would no longer be in attendance.

“Taking a look back at last year’s CMA Awards and all the fun that we have every year getting to hang out with our country music family,” the group captioned two photos on Instagram. “Sadly, one of our immediate family members has just tested positive for COVID-19 this week.”

“So far, the three of us continue to test negative, and out of caution and love for everyone involved with the CMAs, we’ve decided to stay home from the awards tonight,” they added.

Finding Positivity Amongst the Pandemic

The band was still able to snag a Grammy nomination in the “Best Country Duo/Group Performance” category for their song “Oceans.” The group took to social media to thank the Recording Academy for the nomination.

“Wow! We are absolutely blown away hearing the news on ‘Ocean’ being nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance,” the group wrote earlier this week. When we went in to cut this song, we knew it was incredibly powerful and it only felt right that Hillary took the lead which took the song to a whole new level.”
