LISTEN: Scotty McCreery Puts His Own Touch on ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’

by Halle Ames

American Idol winner Scotty McCreery has blessed all our Christmas loving ears with his reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.’ Another reason to be jolly and merry? Say less.

We aren’t sure about Santa, but Scotty McCreery is definitely making it on our nice list this year.

His new rendition of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ is giving us major holiday vibes as he reads the classic holiday tale on SoundCloud. His voice is smooth, deep, and comforting, melting us like a hot knife through a stick of butter.

“‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care. In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.”

Could the hit country singer also have a career in voice overs? We wouldn’t mind him narrating our life.

The 27-year-old Country artist will be spending his holiday season with his wife Gabi and their adorable pup, Moose. Gabi and Scotty McCreery tied the knot in 2018 in his home state of North Carolina.

Scotty McCreery Career

Scotty McCreery first made his way into the spotlight when he won the tenth season of American Idol in 2011. In October of the same year, he released his first album, Clear as Day, which became a certified platinum record.

The following year, McCreery was feeling jolly once again and debuted his first Christmas album titled, Christmas with Scotty McCreery, which became certified gold.

However, McCreery’s top song, the emotional hit, “Five More Minutes,” broke records for the artist. In July of 2017, the single became the only country music artist in Country Aircheck/Mediabase history to chart a song without a record label’s backing. By February of 2018, it also topped the Billboard charts.
