Loretta Lynn’s 2021 Album ‘Still Woman Enough’: Everything We Know So Far

by Clayton Edwards

Country music icon Loretta Lynn is releasing a new album this year. “Still Woman Enough,” will be her 50th solo studio album. Lynn isn’t going into this album alone, though. Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Margo Price, and Tanya Tucker are joining her for a few songs.

Not only will “Still Woman Enough” be the legend’s 50th album but it will also drop just months after the 50rh anniversary of her iconic hit “Coal Miner’s Daughter” reaching number one on the charts. Because it is such a milestone in Lynn’s career, she is using part of the album to reflect on her career and her roots.

The album will contain new tracks as well as some classics. “Still Woman Enough” will include new renditions of both “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” “You Ain’t Woman Enough,” and “I’m a Honky Tonk Girl,” Loretta Lynn’s first hit, among others. The latter of which will feature the first lady of outlaw country, Tanya Tucker.

“Still Woman Enough” will also include some new arrangements of classic gospel and traditional songs. Loretta Lynn will perform the Hank Williams classic, “I Saw the Light” on the album.

She will also record a new arrangement of “Keep on the Sunny Side” which was popularized by The Carter Family. Traditional songs on the album will include “Old Kentucky Home” and “Where No One Stands Alone.”Behind the Scenes of “Still Woman Enough”

Much like her other recent releases, Loretta Lynn recorded the bulk of “Still Woman Enough” at Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Lynn’s daughter Patsy Lynn-Russell and John Carter Cash, son of Johnny Cash, will produce the album. Loretta and Patsy also co-wrote the title track of the album.
