Country music superstar Luke Bryan announced that he will be releasing a deluxe edition of his latest record, Born Here Live Here Die Here.

The country singer revealed the big news to thousands of fans during a recent Facebook livestream. During the stream, Bryan also performed three of the new songs. He says we can expect the new content in April.

“I’m so glad y’all get some new stuff from me on April 9,” Bryan says during the stream.

The deluxe album will feature six new songs alongside his already released 10 tracks. Those include his chart-topping hits “One Margarita,” “What She Wants Tonight,” “Knockin’ Boots,” and his latest single “Down To One.”

Bryan tells his fans that he had some extra time to write songs thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“With COVID and everything, we had some extra songs that we were able to write and record,” Bryan adds. “We miss you, we love you.”

Of the six new songs, live Luke Bryan performed two of them live during the stream. He sang both “Country Does” and “Waves.” He also includes a performance of his current top-five single “Down To One.”

During the video, Bryan shares that he is “crazy excited” about his new song “Waves,” labeling it as a “big ol summer song.” He also talks about “Country Does.” He says it’s an up-tempo track about small-town life.

“It’s about the way I was brought up, it’s just about my small-town way of life and the first time I heard it, I knew I had to record it,” he says.

Born Here Live Here Die Here was originally released on August 7, 2020. It debuted at the top of Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, earning him his sixth consecutive chart-topping album debut.

Luke Bryan Returning to American Idol

At least we don’t have to wait until April to see and hear more of Luke Bryan. The country star is coming back for yet another season judging American Idol on ABC. He will be joining fellow judges Katy Perry and Lionel Richie on Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14) for the season debut.

There’s no question that Bryan loves being a judge on American Idol.

In a video posted on Bryan’s official Twitter account last week, he says the new season is full of surprises – and a few tears.

“What I love most about American Idol is you never know what’s gonna walk through that door,” Luke Bryan says in the video. “You get chill bumps all over your body and it can happen at any moment when I’m at that judges’ table.”
