Luke Combs Announces Much-Anticipated Live Stream Show

by Quentin Blount

The COVID-19 pandemic has left all of us here at Outsider missing performances by Luke Combs and all of our favorite country music singers.

However, we all got a breath of fresh air on Monday night when Combs announced that he would be going live this Thursday. The country music phenom took to social media to make the announcement a little before 9 p.m. ET.

“We’re doing it,” Combs wrote on Twitter. “Excited to announce I’ll be going live this Thursday, February 18 at 8 PM ET with a video of a full show of mine from the What You See Is What You Get Tour.”

It was just a few days ago that Luke Combs teased a live stream concert on social media. He took to Twitter once again to ask his fans what they thought about the idea.

“Sure I’m not the only one, but man, I miss live music,” Combs posted last week. “So I got to thinking – my team recorded the shows on my last tour. What would y’all think about me posting a full show to watch? All the camera angles and everything. Thought it may be pretty cool. Maybe the night of Feb. 18?”

And now, Combs is living up to that promise, getting ready to stream an entire concert replay on the 18th. If his tweets are any indication, us fans can expect the full experience — the full production, all the camera angles, everything.

Combs will be streaming the entire performance from Rupp Arena. It’s the same venue as one of the star’s last live concerts before the pandemic started.

Luke Combs Performs at Daytona 500

Luke Combs is definitely staying busy, there’s no doubt about that. In addition to his upcoming live stream concert, Combs performed at the Daytona 500 on Sunday.

During the performance, the country music star payed tribute to the life of the NASCAR legend, Dale Earnhardt. Sunday’s Daytona 500 was the 20th anniversary of Earnhardt’s death. During the show, Luke Combs rocked a jacket that was honoring the NASCAR legend. The jacket featured Earnhardt’s face and his signature, among other things.

Combs performed prior to the beginning of Sunday’s big race. Richard Childress Racing was able to capture a shot of Luke Combs singing with the jacket on. The photo shows off both Earnhardt’s face, signature, and all of the years he was a Winston Cup Series Champion.

NASCAR definitely got this performance right. It really doesn’t get much better than Luke Combs and Dale Earnhardt.
