All About the 2020 CMT Awards
“For me, it’s like a total dream come true every time I’m with these guys at all so I mean it’s really awesome. I’m thankful that they are here to do it with me and I’m gonna have fun, for sure,” Combs told media backstage ahead of the awards show.
“Luke with all of his humility,” Brooks responded. “He is on fire right now if you haven’t noticed. We did get a little prelim crossroads performance so we know it’s gonna be fun, just looking forward to it. His music is not unlike ours, so we’re not gonna try too hard, we’re just going to go out there and sling it I think.”
Dunn revealed that his daughter played Combs’ music on YouTube prior to him even getting signed. He soon listened to his music and said that “he is opening the show!”
