Luke Combs has done it again. His newest single hit number one on the Billboard charts today. So it’s safe to say that Nashville has a new king in town.
CMA’s Entertainer of the Year Luke Combs can’t stop winning. His most recent single Cold As You officially hit number one on the Country Radio Billboards today. That makes 12 consecutive chart-toppers for Combs. It’s literally been over five years since the crooner has released a song that didn’t peak at number one. And yes, that is an industry record.
Combs co-wrote the hit with Randy Montana and Jonathan Singleton, and it appears on his 2020 deluxe album, What You See Ain’t Always What You Get. It’s the seventh number one from that album alone, which is yet another record-breaking feat.
The single is the last from Lukes Combs’s What You See Ain’t Always What You Get, though. So there isn’t a chance for an eighth chart-topper there. But we’re expecting a new album sometime next year. And we can’t wait to see if Combs will go 13 for 13.
“Cold as You” by @lukecombs is officially the #1 song on the Mediabase country chart this week.

12th career #1 as a lead artist. All 12 of his promoted singles have now hit #1.
But no matter what happens with the next Luke Combs album, there’s no doubt that he’ll find at least one more record to shatter.
Luke Combs Earns 2021 CMA International Artist Achievement Awards
Luke Combs is fresh off of his CMA Entertainer of the Year win. But now the 12-time chart-topper has another trophy to add to his mantle.
On November 9th, Luke Combs and fellow country superstar Keith Urban were handed the 2021 CMA International Artist Achievement Award.
The coveted award, which was founded in 1996, goes to innovative U.S. artists who break the mold in the country music industry and pave the way for new trends.
“Both Keith and Luke have been trailblazers for our genre, consistently growing and enhancing Country Music globally,” said CMA Chief Executive Officer Sarah Trahern. “They each place such a distinct priority on Country Music’s international fanbase and continue to further CMA’s mission to bring Country Music to audiences all over the world. We could not be prouder to present them both with this award.”
“This award means a lot to me,” Combs said upon receiving the honor. “I am humbled to have so many supporters outside of my home country who love my music, and I am really looking forward to playing for them soon. Thank you to the CMA for honoring me with this award!”
