Luke Combs’ Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Halftime Show Brings the Hits

Luke Combs performed a medley of his hit songs alongside the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders for the Thanksgiving Halftime Show.

The tradition of the Thanksgiving Halftime Show is a big deal. From Carrie Underwood to Destiny’s Child, fans receive a new and entertaining performance every year. This year’s show is no different with Luke Combs.

The country star’s performance includes three of his biggest hits: “When It Rains It Pours,” “Beautiful Crazy,” and “Beer Never Broke My Heart.” It is a medley with seamless transitions into the next song. Alongside Combs are the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. Backing up the entertainer with great dance routines, the cheerleaders add another layer of Dallas Cowboys pride.

Sporting a star-embedded cap, the singer looks happy to be on stage, as do his bandmates. The performance kicks off The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign, a tradition that helps local communities around America. What could be better than performing on Thanksgiving for a great cause?

Luke Combs and the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders

My favorite part of the performance is when the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders are brought back on the field for “Beer Never Broke My Heart.” In a triangle formation in front of the stage, the dancers make Combs’ performance even more lively.

Every season, my mom and I watch the CMT series “Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Making The Team.” It follows the audition and training process the girls go through in order to make it to the final squad. Recognizing a few of these faces dance to Comb’s medley made me happy to see it. At this point, Combs ditches the guitar and dances with the cheerleaders with a red solo cup in his hand. All in all, it is a wildly fun performance that fans enjoy watching.

Luke Combs: 2021 CMA International Achievement Award

It has been a busy year for the country singer. Alongside Keith Urban, Luke Combs is the winner of the 2021 CMA International Achievement Award. First presented in 1996, the honor is given to country artists who are growing globally.

His album “What You See Is What You Get” is breaking records in the United States, Canada, U.K. and Australia! He is also the second highest-streamed artist in the United Kingdom. Dolly Parton, country’s queen, is ranked first. In addition to this award, his music wins him the 2021 CMA for Entertainer of the Year.

These achievements mean the world to Combs. Speaking to his 3.4 million followers, he shows his thankfulness for his fans’ support.

“Still can’t believe this actually happened, but it did because of Y’ALL,” Combs writes. “Y’all listen to the music, come to the shows, and have been with me since day one… THANK YOU!”
