The country continues to battle against COVID-19 as cases soar around the nation. Cities continue to report breaking records for total deaths in a day.
More and more people have discussed their experiences with the virus. Whether they are a celebrity or everyday person posting on social media, this has become a universally shared experience and tragedy.
Nicole Hocking Gets COVID-19
One of the more recent people to share their experience with the virus was Nicole Hocking, Luke Combs’ wife.
On Saturday, she talked with her followers on her Instagram about what it’s been like having COVID-19. Unlike others who are asymptomatic or experience relatively no symptoms, Hocking did not have that experience.
“I wish I was like those people that just lost their smell or taste or just didn’t even know they had it I guess, but no, I’ve had all the symptoms, except for a fever. It’s beat me up. It’s brutal, but you know I am on the up and coming and I am feeling great these last two or three days and hopefully, I test negative soon.”
According to Taste of Country, it is unclear at this time whether or not Luke Combs had COVID-19. Also, Hocking did not go into detail on their strategy for how to quarantine while she has the virus. Country artist Tyler Hubbard from Florida Georgia Line quarantined in his tour bus away from his family when he had COVID.
Brett Young also self-quarantined in his tour bus parked in the driveway in his home when the pandemic first started in March.
Luke Combs and Nicole Hocking
Luke Combs and Nicole Hocking got married during the pandemic in August 2020. They had a small, intimate wedding with only close family and friends at their Florida home. The couple started dating in 2016 before Combs had really made it big in the industry.
Hocking has been by Combs’ side as he evolved from a newcomer to one of the most listened to country artists.
The influence they have on each other is evident, especially considering just how many songs the country artist has written about her.
Songs like “Better Together,” “Nothing Like You,” and “Beautiful Crazy” are just a few that are notably about his wife. When he went to get the Song of the Year award at the 2019 CMA Awards for “Beautiful Crazy,” he didn’t shy away from who his biggest inspiration was.
“It’s the story of how we met and how we’re going to, you know, end up spending the rest of our lives together, which is really awesome.”
