Taylor Swift is making waves this week, announcing a concert film for her latest album “Folklore.” The film will debut exclusively on Disney Plus on Wednesday at 12:01 a.m. Swift’s new film is titled “Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions.”
The pop singing star made the announcement on her Instagram account early Tuesday morning.
“Well it’s 11/24 and 24-11=13 so I’ve got an announcement,” Swift writes. “You haven’t see this film before. Folklore: the long pond studio sessions will be out tonight at midnight PST on @DisneyPlus!”
“It’s an album that allows you to feel your feelings, and it’s a product of isolation,” Swift says in the film’s trailer.
The announcement lit up social media as it gathered thousands of likes, comments and retweets. On of those comments came from country music superstar Maren Morris.
“OMG music this day,” Morris replies on her Instagram account.
The two music sensations have performed together before, a performance that Morris called “transcendental,” according to Billboard.
“I just got to watch her work all day,” Morris says. “I’m obsessed with her. I think she’s such a trailblazer. I love that she so gracefully was this huge country artist and then decided you know what, I’ve conquered this world. I’m gonna dip my toe in the pop waters, and it’s just so seamless because she’s a superstar.”
Swift Fans Excited For New Film
In addition to Morris, Swift’s announcement of her upcoming film drew tons of social media attention. Fans of the singer say they cannot wait to see her in actions on Disney Plus.
