Martina McBride Announces Double Vinyl ‘Greatest Hits: The RCA Years’ in Honor of 30th Anniversary of Signing Record Deal

Martina McBride is celebrating a massive milestone in her life and her career.

Luckily for fans of McBride, she’s commemorating it with a brand-new album release. She shared the news on social media today.

She wrote, “I’m excited to announce my double vinyl, ‘Greatest Hits: The RCA Years’ will be available Aug. 20 in honor of this year marking 30 years since I signed my first-ever record deal with @RCARecords. Pre-order it & get the blue vinyl exclusively on @Walmart.”

The album will feature some of Martina McBride’s greatest hits during her time with RCA Records.

It includes hits like “That’s Me,” “Independence Day,” “A Broken Wing,” “This One’s For The Girls,” “Concrete Angel,” “I Love You,” and “Wild Angels.”

She has been signed with the recording company since 1991. With RCA, McBride has released 14 studio albums, two greatest hits compilations, a live album, as well as two compilation albums.

She’s sold over 14 million albums in the U.S. alone. As it turns out, RCA Records has proved a pretty good partner-in-crime for the pop-style-country-artist. She also happens to be a four-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year Winner.

“When I signed my record deal with RCA in 1991, vinyl was out and CD’s were in. Even though I’ve always been happy to have my name on any form of recorded music, I’ve always hoped to see my music on vinyl. I’m SO THRILLED to share this double vinyl album of hits that I recorded during my time with RCA. This is a very special project to me and I’m excited that everyone will be able to add it to their vinyl collection,” McBride said to CMT.

Other Martina McBride Projects

Besides the Greatest Hits album, McBride has been keeping herself busy with music in other ways as well.

She is also going to be the center of an exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame. It will be called “Martina McBride: The Power of Her Voice.” It will open on July 30 and run until August 7, 2022.

She’s also tagging along for some major country music tours soon. McBride is joining Alabama for their 50th Anniversary Tour and Blake Shelton for his “Friends and Heroes 2021” tour. “The Voice” contestant Lindsay Ell will appear on the tour alongside her coach. Martina McBride, Tracy Byrd, and Trace Adkins will also be supporting performers.

She has expressed excitement for finally getting to tour and get back on the road backstage at the 56th ACM Awards. She’s been teasing some of her studio work and a possible album coming soon. It would be the first in five years.

“[I’m] working on new music. Just trying to get it all together. It’s been exciting to be back in the studio and be creating, for sure,” McBride said.
