Chris Stapleton always has one talented and beautiful lady at his side. As a matter of fact, that happens to be his wife, Morgane Stapleton.
Morgane Stapleton the Singer-Songwriter
Morgane Stapleton is super talented in her own right. Formerly, Hayes, the Nashville native started her career in songwriting. She’s written songs for Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, and Trisha Yearwood.
She’s also been known to perform background vocals. Morgane’s on tracks for for Dierks Bentley, Carrie Underwood, and Kellie Pickler, just to name a few.
Morgane Meets Chris Stapleton, Marries and Starts Family
The talented singer-songwriter met Stapleton when he moved down from Kentucky to pursue his career in country music. They actually met at work in 2003, and then married four years later in 2007.
According to Country Living, Morgane would secretly hope to run into Chris while visiting her fellow songwriters. “We’d hear the jingle of his keys as he walked down the hall, and we knew he was coming to play us whatever new song he had written,” she gushes.
Fast-forward a few years later and the couple now has five children. They have a son and a daughter who are reportedly around the ages of 10 and 8, and twin boys. Morgane had their fifth child in May 2019, adding another boy to the mix.
The Couple Works Well Together
She’s always by Chris’s side, literally. Morgane is his number one collaborator. They write nearly every song together. The couple just wrapped up a heartfelt performance at the 54th CMA Awards. Chris and Morgane took the stage together and acoustically performed the title track, “Starting Over.” The song’s off Chris’s new full-length album.
The Stapletons know a thing or two about singing and songwriting because their hard work has paid off in the past after receiving several awards. Chris took home four awards, for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, New Male Vocalist of the Year, and Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2016 ACM Awards.
He also picked up two Grammys that year and in 2018, earned three more. At the 2018 ACM Awards, Chris took home Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year. And of course, Morgane played a major part in these successes.
She Shares Her Love for Chris Socially
I think it’s safe to say that the two are madly in love. Morgane often posts on Instagram about the two’s love they share for each other, plus her support for her husband.
