Miranda Lambert Channels ‘Yellowstone’s Beth Dutton in Stunning New Pic

by Suzanne Halliburton

Miranda Lambert is soaring so high this month, getting back to performing in front of an audience and releasing new music.

And on Wednesday, the country star released the song Geraldene, which is featured on her album Marfa Tapes. She posted the news on her Instagram account. And in the photo, she’s posing on the back of a pickup truck. A guitar is to her left. She’s wearing jeans, a cowboy hat and a jacket that’s giving off a Southwestern vibe. It’s very West Texas, very Marfa-centric, with a dash of Beth Dutton from Yellowstone. It’s also very, very Miranda Lambert.

Miranda Lambert wrote: “A mid-week surprise for y’all. “Geraldene” from #TheMarfaTapes is out now. This one’s a fun one.”

Lambert’s team is using the photo to promote Geraldene. Fellow Texans and country stars Jack Ingram and Jon Randall joined Miranda Lambert on the song and the album.

Miranda Lambert Performed New Song on Ellen Show

Miranda Lambert performed the new song with Ingram and Randall on Wednesday’s episode of the Ellen DeGeneres Show, the day-time talk show hosted by the popular comedian.

All the songs on the new album aren’t heavily produced. Rather, they’re raw and unfiltered. Miranda Lambert recently described the new music like this:

“You can hear the wind blowing, the cows mooing. We wanted you to feel like you were right there with us, sitting around the campfire, escaping the world, disappearing into the music.”

Earlier this month, Lambert, Ingram and Randall performed In Your Arms, the album’s first single, on the ACM Awards show. Lambert was part of three performances that night.

Geraldene is a 2021 version of the Dolly Parton classic, Jolene. Check out a line from the song: “G-g-g-g-Geraldene, Geraldene . You got ’em all on their knees. But you can’t take a man from me, Geraldene.”

Miranda Lambert started performing live, in front of an audience, last week. She did so back in Texas, her home state. The crowds at Billy Bob’s, a venue at the Fort Worth Stockyards, loved her. And she was overcome with emotion as she sang The House That Built Me. Lambert will return to Billy Bob’s this weekend.

Back on her Instagram account, her fans sent messages of love and support.

“Love it!!! Miranda your voice is so Texas in this one!!!”

“Oh my goodness, love you for this! Cannot wait to hear you play this weekend girlfriend!”

“I loved it Miranda! Loved the raw vocals.”
