Country music star Miranda Lambert is the victim of a frightening hit-and-run accident. Fortunately, no one was injured in the crash.
Miranda Lambert and her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, are back in the comforts of their home in Nashville after a small car hit them on the highway, ending the couple’s road trip early.
While driving on I-20 through Atlanta, Georgia, Lambert got into a pickle with a reckless driver. The mystery person sideswiped the trailer while going 70 mph down the busy highway. After the driver hit the trailer, named “The Sheriff,” it quickly drove away before police could arrive to help.
The car was still drivable for the remaining four-hour journey. However, Miranda Lambert had to file a police report.
Miranda Lambert Takes to Social Media About Accident
Last night, the country artist posted about the incident on her Instagram. She also added six photos, highlighting their trip and a video of the damage to the large trailer.
“We stayed an extra day because it was so beautiful. (And we ran out of clothes & needed to do laundry) I had to work too, so why not have a view while you zoom? I have a feeling we will be back there in the summertime to enjoy the lake and the friendly people. We were looking for a dinner spot, and we saw that there was a @ritzcarlton about 10 minutes from the KOA. 🤠 We ate dinner and made some new friends from Orlando.”
As for their trip, Miranda Lambert says, “GLAMP life is the good life.”– something we can agree on. The 37-year-old then goes on to explain the scary accident.
“Unfortunately, on the way home going through Atlanta, an a– hole in a small car with temp plates was driving erratically and tried to squeeze between us and a semi-truck going 70 on I-20 W. It hit the airstream on the passenger side and sent us into the left lane. We fishtailed pretty good but got on the shoulder as quickly as possible to assess the damage. Nobody was hurt, thank the good Lord. But nobody stopped either, and the car sped away. (Cool Bro)”
‘Back to Our Vagabond Ways Soon’
No one was hurt in the ordeal, but Miranda Lambert knows the accident could have been much worse. She credits her mother’s prayers for her good luck. She also shouts out her husband for his driving skills.
“We are so thankful that nothing worse happened. I called mama right away to say that I know her prayers are always heard cause I know she prays for us every morning about 4:30 am. Especially when we are on the road. And @brendanjmcloughlin kept our trailer pretty steady for being sideswiped.”
Fortunately, Miranda Lambert reports that she will be back on the road for their “vagabond ways” soon. The couple also walked away with a newfound appreciation for life and its beauty.
“Thanks to @airstream_inc and @southland_rv, we are gonna be repaired and back to our vagabond ways soon. Anyway, overall it was an amazing trip, and we learned we have a lot to see and a lot to be grateful for. #Asheville #Charleston #lakeoconee #highwayvagabonds #homesweettrailerpark #globetrotter”
According to Taste of Country, Miranda Lambert first got “The Sheriff” in May due to the pandemic. With tours canceled and life on hold temporarily, the artist took advantage of the free time and visited a few spots on the map she has never explored before. For a month, the couple packed their bags and dogs and hit the road for some fresher air.
