Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation teamed with Tractor Supply Company to donate $250,000 to animals shelters across the country.
The 50 “surprise” donations were made to one shelter in each state. Each grant, in the amount of $5,000, is part of MuttNation’s Mutts Across America program.
“This was our first signature program and it’s our cornerstone,” said Miranda. “It lets us reward the hard-working rescues and celebrate shelter pets everywhere. It hits all the high notes.”
Miranda Lambert’s Mutt Love
Miranda and her mom, Bev Lambert, started the MuttNation Foundation in 2009 to combat animal suffering and homelessness. Most importantly, Miranda and Bev practice what they preach, with more than a dozen rescue animals between them.
In addition, Miranda and Bev have helped raise millions of dollars through MuttNation to build animal shelters, increase pet adoption, and aid animal-friendly organizations.
Tractor Supply Company is the exclusive retailer of MuttNation products. A percentage of all sales goes to the MuttNation Foundation to further support the cause.
“We’re so honored to have Tractor Supply Company as our partner,” said Miranda. “Thanks to their incredibly generous support, this year’s gifts to the shelters will be the most impactful ever. Given the fundraising difficulties rescues have faced over the past year, we know it will make a huge difference to thousands of animals.”
Over the years, MuttNation’s Mutts Across America program has provided more than $1.25 million in grants.
Dare to Love
In July 2020, Miranda released a lyric video for “How Dare You Love” that supported MuttNation. The clip featured more than 50 photos of fury friends from Miranda’s fans.
“How Dare You Love,” which was penned by Miranda, Ashley Monroe, and Jamie Kinney, is featured on Miranda’s seventh studio album, Wildcard.
Wildcard earned a nomination for Best Country Album at the 2020 Grammy Awards, as well as a nomination for Album of the Year at the 2020 CMA Awards.
