Miranda Lambert Previewing New Song in John Wayne T-Shirt Says All You Need to Know

by Quentin Blount

Alright country music fans, get ready for some great news. The one and only Miranda Lambert is going to be releasing a new song a week from today.

Over the years, there’s no question that Lambert has grown into one of the biggest stars in the entire music industry. She is a three-time Grammy Award winner, twenty-nine-time Academy of Country Music Awards winner, six-time American Country Awards winner, seven-time CMT Music Awards winner, and fourteen-time Country Music Association Awards winner. Safe to say that she is a pretty big deal.

It’s always great to listen to Lambert’s music and see her perform. But we also get to see her engage with her fans on social media. That’s exactly what she did on Friday afternoon when she announced her new single, “If I Was a Cowboy.” She posted a clip to her official Instagram account where she has more than 4.2 million followers. The clip gives fans a little teaser of the song. All the while, we can see that Lambert is sitting with a glass of whiskey while she rocks a magnificent John Wayne t-shirt and a red handkerchief on her head.

“Wanted by the law, but the laws don’t apply to me,” Lambert sings. “If I was a cowboy I’d be wild and free.”

“If I Was a Cowboy | October 15,” she wrote alongside the preview.

“If I Was A Cowboy” will grace our ears next Friday, October 15. If you want to get a headstart, the song is currently available for pre-save/pre-order right now.

Miranda Lambert Just Announced a Christmas Project

Has there ever been a better time to be a Miranda Lambert fan? Just when you think she has accomplished all there is to accomplish and then some, she still manages to surprise us.

Today, that latest surprise is her new single “If I Was a Cowboy.” However, a little more than a week ago Lambert announced that The Pistol Annies would be releasing their first-ever Christmas album, Hell Of A Holiday. The talented trio consists of Lambert, Angaleena Presley, and Ashley Monroe. We can expect to dive into that project on October 22.

“It’s gonna be a Hell of a Holiday y’all!” The Pistol Annies Instagram account posted at the time. “Our first Christmas album will be out October 22.”

Hell Of A Holiday will include 13 tracks, all of which are being produced by Frank Liddell and Eric Masse. And of those 13 songs, it sounds like “Snow Globe” is the frontrunner to be the lead single on the album.

If all you care about is getting your hands on the new music, then perhaps a digital version of the album will be best for you. But the female trio headed by Lambert will also be releasing Vinyl and physical copies for some of their collector fans as well.
