Country music singer-songwriter Miranda Lambert finds inspiration for her songs in unique ways. One of them involves a tequila glass.
The idea behind one of her hit songs, “Tequila Does,” appears to come from a tequila session she was having with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall. They all gathered together in the West Texas town of Marfa, which has a mystique to it. Artisans, musicians, and retirees find Marfa’s quaint, unique look quite satisfying.
Speaking of satisfying, on this particular day Lambert was feeling no pain while tipping back some tequila. She recalls the last time that she, Ingram, and Randall gathered together in Marfa, it produced her 2016 hit “Tin Man.”

Now there was some chit-chat between Miranda Lambert and the other two regarding a new song. So imagine the three of them sitting and having some sweet tequila in this magical West Texas town.
Lambert suggested taking their current situation, drinking tequila, and turn it into a song.
Well, that’s the long and short of it. Lambert, Ingram, and Randall put together the lyrics and chords, then Lambert stepped into a studio and put the song down. “Tequila Does” appears on her “Wildcard” album, which is Lambert’s seventh studio album.

Lambert Says This Is ‘One of the Best Parts’ of Owning Dogs
Owning dogs is so much a part of who Miranda Lambert is as a human being. She just simply spoiled her fur babies at Christmas.
“My pups got their Christmas presents early,” she shared in a Twitter post. “A few of the new toys from the MuttNation line at Tractor Supply.”
The MuttNation line actually comes from Lambert’s own organization she founded in 2009. Miranda Lambert founded the organization with her mother due to her love for animals and dogs in particular. Its mission is to make sure that as many dogs as possible could have a safe, happy place to call home.
Last year, when Lambert married Brendan McLoughlin, she made it abundantly clear the importance of love for animals. “I was like, ‘Hey, if you don’t like dogs, that’s kind of a deal-breaker,’” Lambert said according to iheartdogs.com. “He actually loves the dogs to death.”
