Go ahead and mark country music singer-songwriter, Morgan Wallen as not a fan of Walmart after some songs from his new album leaked out.
“Hey y’all, um, it’s been brought to my attention that some of my music, well my album, has leaked at some Walmarts around the country,” Wallen said. “I don’t know how that’s possible but it has.”
Wallen goes on to talk about it a little more on Instagram. He lets his fans know that he’s going to start leaking those songs himself. He asks them to stay tuned to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms.
Take a look at what Wallen had to say in response to the news.
Wallen was planning to have his second album, “Dangerous: The Double Album,” released on Friday, Jan. 8. Unfortunately, the leaked songs have ramped up that release date by a few days.
This album is the follow-up record to his CMA New Artist of the Year-winning “If I Know Me” debut record.
“The ‘double album’ idea started off as just a joke between me and my manager because we had accumulated so many songs over the past couple of years,” Wallen said in a release. “Then quarantine hit, and we realized it might actually be possible to have enough time to make it happen.”
A bonus edition of the album, available at Target, will include two more tracks, “This Side of a Dust Cloud” and “Bandaid on a Bullet Hole.”
Morgan Wallen Auditions On 2014 Edition Of ‘The Voice’
Meanwhile, Morgan Wallen had his big break on the sixth season of NBC’s “The Voice” in 2014.
Wallen has blown up in 2020 with new Billboard charting singles and has even been the musical guest on “Saturday Night Live.” However, it wasn’t that long ago that Wallen was just another contestant trying to nail his audition on “The Voice.”
In 2014, the baby-faced singer was only 20 years old and looked very different than what fans are used to these days. There is no signature mullet or cut-off sleeve shirts. Instead, Wallen is adorned in a button-down shirt, tie, and cardigan sweater.
As the singer says in a clip from the show, he was a landscaper at his “The Voice” audition. He goes on to explain how he began to sing at a young age because of his mother.
“I started singing when I was about 3 years old,” Wallen says on The Voice. “My mom threw me up on stage at church, and around 8 years old, I was entered into a competition. I came in third. They offered me a record contract, but my mom was like, ‘I want you to have a normal childhood.’ So we turned it down.”
