Morgan Wallen Reveals What He Wants His Son to Know About Him

With his star continuing to rise in the music industry, country singer Morgan Wallen has a lot to look forward to.

The 27-year-old mullet-rocking singer and songwriter has already seen his share of success at a young age. The East Tennessee native burst onto the scene in the mid 2010’s with songs like “Up Down” and “Whiskey Glasses.” To this point in his country career, he has put out six singles and each of the songs have found success.

Earlier this year he put out a brand new album to the delight of his growing fan base. It is called “Dangerous: The Double Album” and it was released to the public on January 8. The album has done incredibly well, reaching the top of country music charts. A highlight of his career to this point was his appearance on long running sketch comedy show “Saturday Night Live.”

Wallen also has a 6-month-old son named Indigo Wilder with his ex-girlfriend. In a recent interview with Billboard, Wallen opens up about the experience of being a father. He admits that having a young child has taken some time to get used but that he is enjoying the company of his son.

“It’s still kind of sinking in,” he says. “I’ll be watching him, and he’ll make expressions and stuff, and I’m like, ‘Oh, that is definitely my kid.”

In a moving social media post last year, Wallen introduces his infant son to the world and says he is a changed man.

Morgan Wallen Says He’s a ‘Changed Man’

“Little Wilder, I am a changed man,” he writes in the lengthy caption. “Since you came into the world Friday, I see mine differently now.”

Wallen vows to be a “Godly man” in the post and says he will strive to be a role model to his son. The country star is no stranger to trouble and had a run in with the law last year. He was arrested in downtown Nashville on public intoxication and disorderly conduct charges.

Still, Wallen swears that having a child has changed his life and he has turned over a new leaf planning on showing his son the way. He also says he will be upfront with child regarding his wilder days.

“I want him to be proud of me, so it definitely affects some decisions I make moving forward,” he says. “I also want him to know that Dad didn’t follow all the rules either.”
