Morgan Wallen just hit TikTok followers with a lengthy sneak peek into “the most personal song on my new record,” and it’s one all fans will want to hear.
Morgan Wallen, like many of us, has had a difficult year. While it’s hard to compare the “normal” struggles of 2020 with that of a wealthy country star, everyone has their troubles. For Wallen, however, it’s been an “exceptionally rough time.”
“I took a while, like almost two weeks, and just turned my phone off and didn’t even look at it,” Morgan Wallen reveals. Speaking to Bobby Bones on his Bobbycast podcast, the Whiskey Glasses singer finally breaks his silence on what the experience held for him.
Wallen says he “drove on the tractor, things like that, and just [was clearing] my head.” Despite being asked to exit his debut SNL live music performance, he has been able to pull himself up after severe depression. The experience, he says, makes him grateful.
Back in early October, Wallen was nixed from the SNL schedule after posting videos of himself partying heavily without a mask or observing social distancing. Furthermore, he was seen kissing multiple women at said Alabama college party, all individuals unmasked.

Now, Wallen is channeling much of his struggles with fame and fortune into his latest album. On TikTok, he’s giving fans a lengthy glimpse into one song in particular. For Wallen, it is “one of, if not the most personal song on my new record.”
“Never thought I’d release it,” Morgan starts off his post. He posts the clip of audio naked. Nothing but his own barebones quotes in white text accompanies it. “But here we are,” he follows.
“I know I’m super blessed and usually happy,” Wallen continues with the sneak. “But not always. This came from the ‘not always’ part.”
“I bet some of y’all can relate,” he adds. “Thanks for always supportin’ me and my music.”
“This one’s called ‘Livin’ The Dream.'”
