Blake Shelton and Shenandoah Release Country Single ‘Then a Girl Walks In’
Blake Shelton and Shenandoah bring their talents together for the latest single “Then a Girl Walks In.” The single features on the band’s forthcoming album Every Road, which drops Nov. 13. The song combines Shelton’s and Marty Raybon’s vocals in a love song about finding the perfect girl.
“We knew Blake must be a Shenandoah fan when he picked one of our songs for the past four seasons in a row on The Voice for his artists to sing, but we never dreamed we’d have the opportunity to actually do a duet with him personally,” Shenandoah’s drummer Mike McGuire told People. “What a blessing! Garth [Brooks] may have friends in ‘low’ places but we have friends in HIGH places. Thanks, Blake.”
Barry Gibb and Jason Isbell Team Up for New Single ‘Words Of A Fool’
Legendary singer-songwriter Barry Gibb and Jason Isbell perform the duet “Words of A Fool.” The song will feature on Gibb’s forthcoming country and bluegrass album GREENFIELDS: The Gibb Brothers Songbook, Vol. 1. For the album, Gibb teamed with some of country music’s hottest talent. Gibb is of course known as the founder of the Bee Gees. But he’s enjoyed a solo career as well. His second studio album released in 2016.
The single was originally written to feature on a 1986 solo album Gibb never released.
“Barry Gibb is one of the greatest songwriters and singers in popular music history,” Isbell said in a press release. “And I’m happy to say he still has that beautiful voice and that magical sense of melody. Working with him on this project has been one of the great honors of my career. He’s a prince.”
