Noah Cyrus had something to say to the people that took issue with her barely-there CMT Country Music Award outfit. Miley Cyrus’ younger sister responded to her critics on Twitter after her wardrobe at the show became a trending topic.

Cyrus wore a see-through sheer bodysuit with some bejeweled adornments that barely covered much of the 20-year-old’s body. Her ensemble included thigh-high white leather boots and a white cowboy hat. She sang “This Is Us” with Jimmie Allen at the show. But unlike her outfit, the performance got rave reviews.

Her choice of clothing, though, was far more polarizing. The takes ran the gamut, but a lot of people felt the outfit was far too revealing for an award show that kids could be watching.

Noah Cyrus’ position may best be summed up by a single, succinct tweet she sent to someone who commended her performance but critiqued the outfit.

She had responses to other critics as well.

Many others had words to say about the young star’s CMT Awards outfit, flooding Twitter feeds with their critiques of the tight-fitted clothing. There were plenty of those to go around.

Though some people bristled at commenting on her wardrobe. A few users gave messages of support for Noah Cyrus, standing up for her outfit choice.

And, of course, there were plenty of jokes.

Instagram Shows Noah Cyrus Love

The comments on Instagram site were far more positive. She posted a short clip of her entrance. She’s back lit, glittering and walking through smoke. She called the look “Space Cowgirl.”

“Noah, you are pure electricity and your voice is haunting as hell. I’m gonna one die and in my will I’m going to put, “make sure my casket has speakers connected to some solar source and only blast Noah Cyrus so I’m never lonely,” one person wrote. “I normally am not a big fan of the sound of female country artists but i thought you KILLED THISSSS, love the uniqueness your voice brings to the genre, someone else said.

Several celebrities also chimed in. Lil Nas X gave the performance three fire emojis with a “wooo” and singer Meghan Trainor rated it six hearts.
