Ten years ago Green Bay Packers star, Aaron Rodgers joined Brad Paisley on stage during a concert.
As the Packers prepared to take on the Chicago Bears for the NFC championship in 2011, some of the players decided to take a break from football talk. Instead, they took the night off and enjoyed Paisley’s concert at the Resch Center.
While singing “I’m Still A Guy,” Paisley introduced Rodgers and invited him onto the stage. Rodgers joined Paisley and declared to the crowd “This [Paisely] is a class act.”
While Paisley performed his encore song, “Alcohol,” Rodgers and his teammates Josh Sitton, Bryan Bulaga, Mason Crosby, and about a dozen other players took to the stage. The group sang and danced together with a delighted crowd. After the song, the team exited the stage. As they left Paisley said, “Thank you for letting me be the drunken preparty for the game. Hope y’all have fun in the Super Bowl.”
Not only did the Packers make it to the Super Bowl but they won a 31–25 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Maybe Paisley is secretly a football good luck charm.
Aaron Rodgers Vies For a Spot in The Super Bowl Again This Week
After defeating the Saints, 30-20, on Sunday in a Divisional Playoff game, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game this Sunday. In this battle of the bays, the Buccaneers could become the first team to play a Super Bowl on its home field because Super Bowl LV is scheduled for Sunday, February 7 at Raymond James Stadium.
However, before that can happen, two of the most accomplished quarterbacks in NFL history will square off. Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers will compete with Tampa Bay’s Tom Brady. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:05 pm this Sunday, January 24. Aaron Rodgers may want to check if there’s a Brad Paisley concert the team can attend this week.
