Reba McEntire Celebrates 4 Year Anniversary of Gospel Album, ‘Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope’

Reba McEntire celebrated the anniversary of a Grammy-winning album on Wednesday (Feb. 3).

With an Instagram post, the country music legend reminded fans that four years ago she released the gospel album “Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope.”

The post also included a clip of McEntire’s music video for the song “Back to God,” which appears on the album. It also included the hashtags “#BackToGod,” “#SingItNow,” and “#waybackwednesday.”

Fans were happy to be reminded of the singer’s gospel album.

“One of my favorite albums by you,” one fan wrote. “Such a beautiful and touching album. It’s calming and healing. Your voice is perfect.”

“I love that album so much!! I listen to it a lot,” another posted. “The needs those kind of songs.”

“Amazing album!! What a gift!!!” another post said.

Others on Instagram had praise for Reba McEntire’s “Back to You” song.

“Amen!” was a comment several fans shared. Another said: “Love this song and I love Reba.” There was also: “I often have this song on repeat.”

According to McEntire’s website, the tracklist for this album also includes the song “Softly & Tenderly” – a collaboration with Trisha Yearwood and Kelly Clarkson. The album was produced by McEntire, Jay DeMarcus, & Doug Sisemore.

“Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope” also includes popular hymns and songs including “Jesus Loves Me,” “Oh Happy Day,” “Amazing Grace,” “I’ll Fly Away,” “Swing Low Sweet Chariot/Swing Down Chariot (Medley),” and “Angel on My Shoulder,” among others.

The album also won Reba McEntire a Grammy Award for Best Roots Gospel Album, according to her website. It was the third Grammy of her storied career. She also won the award in 1986 for Best Country Vocal Performance, Female for “Whoever’s In New England.” Her other Grammy came in 1993 for Best Country Vocal Collaboration. She won that alongside Linda Davis for their duet, “Does He Love You.”

In addition to the Grammy Award, “Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope” also won the Dove Award for Bluegrass/Country/Roots Album of the Year, according to her website.

Reba Among Artists Appearing on New Album by Loretta Lynn

Reba McEntire will be one of several country music stars who will appear on Loretta Lynn’s new album. She’s very excited to be singing with one of country’s biggest icons.

She recently shared her excitement on Twitter. “I am so proud to be part of my hero @LorettaLynn’s new album #StillWomanEnough available March 19th!” she posted.

In addition to McEntire, Lynn has Carrie Underwood, Tanya Tucker, and Margo Price singing on her “Still Woman Enough” album. One of the songs on the album will be Lynn’s cover of “I Saw the Light” by Hank Williams.
